For organizations that already maintain contact and/or message data in an enterprise system, 911messages offers several process-enhancing tools designed to enable subscribers to maintain their data in the source system of their choice, while still taking advantage of the power and sophistication of the 911messages notification engine. These tools are designed to work with the entire suite of 911messages's InstaCom offerings:

• Broadcast API - Initiate broadcasts directly from your own system
  • The Broadcast API enables subscribers to maintain their contact data and initiate broadcasts directly from their own applications. All information required to complete a broadcast is then transmitted via the API to the 911messages system where the 911messages notification engine receives the contact information and the message and transmits it to the appropriate people using the specified communication devices.
• Reporting API - View reports in existing internal systems
  • The Reporting API is an option available to subscribers using the Broadcast API. It enables broadcast reports to be returned through a subscriber's native application.
• Member API - Manage contact data in your own system
  • The Member API enables subscribers who already maintain their contact data in an employee directory, ERP system, or human resource system to electronically manage the 911messages member list. Contacts and groups can be managed within the 911messages mass notification system through the API on demand or on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Member Manager - Simplify and accelerate member maintenance
  • Member Manager automates the process of maintaining member data in the 911messages mass notification system. This tool runs right from your desktop and accelerates the time it takes to upload member data by enabling scheduled updates without user intervention.
• Broadcast Manager - Send notifications without storing data on external servers
  • Broadcast Manager enables you to launch notifications from your internal systems without storing data on 911messages servers for enhanced data privacy. Broadcast Manager can also be easily integrated with Windows Scheduler to automate routine and recurring notifications to dynamic groups or from dynamic call lists.

InstaCom Add-On Features

The 911messages mass notification system is highly configurable to meet an organization's unique usage needs. The following advanced capabilities are available as an extension of 911messages's InstaCom offerings:

• Ad-hoc reporting - Improve visibility into communication effectiveness
  • The ad-hoc reporting feature is a powerful and flexible tool that allows users to quickly create reports to meet their individual needs, such as “How many broadcasts did we send in June?” With this feature, users can easily generate reports that present a well-organized view of an organization's member, broadcast, or group information.
• Call-in notifications - Provide back-up communications
  • The call-in feature allows members to call a toll-free number in order to hear a recorded message from their organization. This feature is especially useful when members are prevented from receiving notifications on their usual delivery paths.
• Conference calling - Maximize productivity
  • Users invite members to join a conference call through the 911messages mass notification system. The invitation may be sent via any 911messages contact path. If the invitation is accepted via a phone path, the member will be automatically connected to the conference call. If the invitation is received or accepted via a text path, the telephone number and access code of the conference call will be provided along with the message so that the member can use a telephone to join the call.
• Customizable caller ID - Improve message confirmations
  • Users can set the system to use a recognizable phone number of their choice to show in the recipient's caller ID for voice notifications, increasing the likelihood recipients will pick up the call. Requires Premium-level plan or higher.
• International dialing - Expand usage to meet global needs
  • Organizations can create contact paths for any international phone numbers.
• Organizational hierarchies - Map the 911messages system to organizational needs and processes
  • Organizational hierarchies enable large organizations with multiple departments, locations, or districts to separate and manage member data in logical divisions. Each division can operate autonomously within the system while the umbrella organization retains a minimal degree of control and can send messages to everyone in the 911messages system.
• Polling - Elicit information from members
  • This versatile feature enables an organization to survey its members by sending a notification that includes a multiple-choice question with up to nine different responses.
• Quota notifications - Reduce cycle time
  • Quota notifications allow broadcasts to terminate after a set number of positive confirmations. This feature is ideal for organizations that need to contact large groups of people on short notice to fill a limited number of open shift positions or to seek a specific number of volunteers. Once enough people respond to meet the need, the broadcast will end. Requires Premium-level plan or higher.
• Scenario manager - Accelerate response times
  • The scenario manager feature allows organizations to plan for a variety of future circumstances by creating and managing pre-set scenarios within the system. An organization can set up one or multiple concurrent broadcast scenarios with pre-defined contact lists and pre-recorded messages for even faster communications. Requires Premium-level plan or higher.
• User-defined fields - Track important data
  • Users can create customized fields to store meaningful information specific to their organization, such as department numbers or building locations. Requires Premium-level plan or higher.
